#fivethingsFriday – Public Speaking Edition

So I did a thing.

I’ve been threatening to do a video post for a while, and also slacking on #fivethingsFriday for equally as long. So…ta-da!

  1. Yay, I just watched! I’m drinking a Coke Zero right now too, haha. You didn’t come across as anxious or awkward or anything at all, FYI, but I haven’t made a video on my blog because I also hate hearing my voice played back! I forgot that our voices are similar.

I so clam up around famous people and never know what to say! I was super awkward when I met the Yarn Harlot and when I met one of the guys from my favorite band (Black Rebel Motorcycle Club), I just babbled. It’s awesome that you met Alan Rickman!

I love that Fiber Optic kit! I struggle with what to knit out of gradients too. I knit a Haruni (http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/haruni) out of a gradient, and I also have Spearmint Tea (http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/spearmint-tea) queued up to knit at some point. As for your other yarn, I’d probably just knit a pair of socks out of it! Vanilla socks would really show off the colors, I think.

Are you going to Rhinebeck this year? I am now that I live in the northeast again! We will have to meet up again if you are!

    • Haha I forgot that we had similar voices too! Confession: I didn’t listen to this thing before I slapped the title cards in. Just uploaded it and called it a day.

Spearmint Tea is so pretty! I really like that actually. That might be a contender for the gradient. 🙂

I might be doing Rhinebeck at least for one day – it’s about three weeks away from my wedding, so I haven’t decided if I’m going to make it a full weekend trip, but it’s only a couple hours’ drive to do in one day, so I could probably handle it, and doing a daytrip would at least curb my spending. You’ll have to let me know which day you’re going!
